Menurut penuturan saksi mata Farid Hamdani mobil itu merupakan pembeli rumah makan yang tengah makan siang saat kejadian menimpa.
"Air datang dari saluran di depan rumah makan dan masuk ke halaman. Begitu deras sampai tidak sempat dipindahkan," ujarnya kepada Okezone, Senin (10/12/2018).
Mobil yang terparkir itupun akhirnya mogok lantaran kap mesin dan sebagian dalamnya kemasukan air. Beruntung mobil tak hanyut meski derasnya aliran air menerjang halaman rumah makan tersebut.
Dari data yang dihimpun, dua unit mobil yang hanyut akibat derasnya aliran air. Satu unit Honda Jazz berwarna putih rusak parah terseret derasnya air di Jalan Bantaran Gang 5, sedangkan satu unit mobil Honda Brio juga terjerebab ke bibir saluran air karena jalan di Jalan Candi Mendut Gang 4 ambles diterjang derasnya air.
Sedangkan satu unit mobil box mengalami ringsek lantaran tertimpa sebuah pohon yang tumbang di Jalan Ahmad Yani tepatnya di bawah jembatan layang Arjosari.
