"Kalau dibilang abah sakit ya enggak, ini normal, jalan biasa," kata Erick saat berkunjung ke kediaman Ma'ruf Amin, di Jalan Situbondo, Menteng, Jakarta, Senin (10/12).
Erick menyebut, nantinya pada Januari 2019 akan banyak kejutan yang akan dibuat Jokowi-Ma'ruf. Kendati demikian, Erick menolak membocorkannya.
"Nanti bulan Januari kampanyenya dan insyallah banyak kejutan-kejutan," kata kata Erick
Sebelumnya, Ma'ruf mengakui dirinya mengalami kaki yang terkilir saat beraktivitas beberapa waktu lalu. Sejak awal Desember ini, Ma'ruf nampak hanya menghabiskan waktu di kediaman pribadinya dan tak terlihat melakukan kunjungan ke berbagai daerah untuk berkampanye.
Erick lantas meminta masyarakat untuk memaklumi kondisi tersebut. Ia menegaskan bahwa Ma'ruf tak memiliki masalah apapun terkait kondisi kesehatannya saat ini. "Ya maklum kalau ada apa-apa, kemarin saya aja salah tidur tangannya enggak bisa naik lurus. Ini hal yang biasa tetapi tidak ada masalah dan mohon maaf," kata dia.
Di tempat yang sama, Ma'ruf menyatakan pertemuannya dengan Erick hanya sekadar melaporkan agenda kampanye yang akan digelar ke depannya. Ia pun menyatakan pada Januari mendatang akan all out untuk berkampanye di berbagai daerah.
"Kalau kampanye resminya memang bulan Januari. Artinya itu seluruhnya all out," kata Ma'ruf.
Selain itu, Ma'ruf mengaku timnya sudah mempersiapkan strategi khusus untuk memperbesar elektabilitas di seluruh Indonesia. Meski begitu, ia enggan membeberkan berbagai strategi yang disiapkannya itu.
"Sasaran-sasaran yang kita anggap strategis untuk mengubah, memperbesar elektabilitas di seluruh Indonesia terutama di 10 wilayah yang kita petakan. Lebih khusus lagi tentu Jabar, DKI, Banten itu menjadi sasaran sasaran utama," ujarnya
