Sontak saja postingan tersebut langsung dikait-kaitkan dengan Syahrini yang dikabarkan sedang dekat dengan Reino Barack. Namun Luna langsung membantah dan mengatakan bahwa postingan itu tidak ada hubungannya dengan Syahrini karena Syahrini adalah teman baiknya. "Enggak, kok. Bukan. Syahrini kan temanku. Aku curhat-curhat juga sama Syahrini, kok. Syahrini enggak mungkin kayak gitulah," ujar Luna Maya.
Host acara SCTV Awards 2018, Andhika Pratama rupanya masih penasaran dengan kabar yang menyebut Syahrini tega makan teman sendiri demi seorang pria. Saat foto Reino Barack muncul di big screen yang ada di atas panggung, Syahrini mulai terlihat tidak nyaman. "Oh laki-laki itu yang lagi hits. Iya kan? Aduh anda seperti infotainment ya, julid. Tidak usah anda mengarah kepada itu," tegas Syahrini kepada Andhika. Andhika pun langsung menyinggung soal 'makan teman' yang pernah ditulis Luna Maya di Instagram story nya. "Teteh takut dibilang makan teman ya?," tanya Andhika Pratama.
Mendengar pertanyaan tersebut, Syahrini langsung memberikan jawaban menohok yang seolah tak mau mengakui Luna Maya sebagai teman baiknya. "Oh tidak. Ngaku-ngaku jadi temen kali. Oh ya sudah lah itu kayaknya bahaya ya. Ini tidak ada di dalam rundown ya, biasa dari dulu Andhika Pratama itu julid. Lain di mulut lain di hati. Kalau di belakang panggung 'hai incessss', kalau udah on kamera, ya seperti itu," pungkas Syahrini.
